Dubai’s real estate market recorded strong growth in 2024, driven by high demand in both residential and office sectors. According to Cushman & Wakefield Core’s Dubai Annual Report 2024-2025, rising rents, prices, and transaction volumes show no signs of slowing, with further increases expected in 2025 despite new supply entering the market.

Meanwhile, Dubai-based property firm Refine Development Management has unveiled expansion plans with a pipeline portfolio valued at $12 billion. The company has also launched a new sales gallery as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the UAE’s growing real estate sector.

In other major developments, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai has launched ‘Erth Dubai,’ an initiative to document the emirate’s history through community narratives and personal experiences. The project aims to preserve Dubai’s cultural heritage by compiling accounts from residents, showcasing the city’s transformation across generations.

Aside from this, the UAE has moved up to 18th place in the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Travel & Tourism Development Index, maintaining its regional leadership. The country recorded 29.2 million international tourists in 2024, a 15.5 percent increase from 2023, and aims to attract 40 million hotel guests under its Tourism Strategy 2031.

In addition, a new report by Tiger Recruitment highlighted salary as the main concern for jobseekers in the MENA region. The MENA Salary and Benefits Review 2025, based on a survey of over 2,100 professionals, provides insights into salary expectations, benefits preferences, and workplace trends in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
