Hello reader,

  • RTA: Dubai transport authority launches trials for driverless vehicles
  • Dubai real estate: Investors can soon buy, sell property under new DLD, Crypto.com deal
  • Dubai real estate: Arada sells DIFC’s largest apartment in Akala for $34m
  • Air Arabia: Airline launches daily flights from Sharjah to Warsaw
  • Saudi Arabia: Red Sea Global ‘on track’ to open AMAALA, 11 resorts fuelled by ‘surging’ investor demand

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed an MoU with Pony.ai to begin pilot trials of autonomous vehicles in the emirate. The trials will start later this year, with a commercial driverless service expected by 2026.

On the real estate front, Dubai Land Department has partnered with Crypto.com to explore property transactions using digital currencies such as Bitcoin. The collaboration aims to develop a digital investment environment for virtual real estate and aligns with plans to allow government fee payments in cryptocurrency.

In addition, Arada has sold a penthouse named “The Observatory” at its Akala development near DIFC for AED125m. The two-floor unit is among the top 10 apartment sales in Dubai this year, with views of Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai, DIFC, and Zabeel.

Aside from this, Air Arabia will begin daily direct flights from Sharjah to Warsaw Modlin Mazovia Airport on December 20, 2025. This adds to its existing service to Warsaw Chopin International Airport, offering passengers additional travel options to the Polish capital.

Meanwhile, Red Sea Global will open 11 new resorts across The Red Sea destination and AMAALA by early 2026. The company said investor interest in its projects spanning tourism, infrastructure, healthcare, and real estate continues to rise.
