Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced free parking during Eid Al Adha holidays. All public parking will be free of charge, except for multi-storey parking terminals, from Saturday, June 15 until the end of Tuesday, June 18.

Meanwhile, the UAE ban on outdoor work during the hottest months of the year begins on Saturday, June 15. The UAE continues to enforce the decision to ban outdoor work under direct sunlight and in open spaces for the twentieth consecutive year. The implementation of the decision will commence on Saturday, starting from 12.30pm until 3pm, becoming a cornerstone of labour legislation in the country.

On the real estate front, home renovations are proving to be a lucrative investment strategy as property owners in some of Dubai’s most exclusive villa communities are raking in millions in profit, experts told Arabian Business. These renovations go beyond mere upgrades. Villa owners are adding uber-luxurious features such as cinema rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, gyms, steam rooms, spas, elevators, and even bowling alleys. These investments can add on approximately $10 million to the property listing price if done up to quality standards.

In Saudi Arabia, a host of high-end consumer-benefit marketplaces and travel service providers such as Thriwe, Pastor & Co. and EaseMyTrip are gearing up for major expansion in the kingdom, curating ultra-luxury services and amenities for affluent travellers amidst the country fast transitioning from a traditional pilgrimage destination to an emerging luxury tourism hub globally.

Aside from this, an artificial intelligence named “AI Steve” is running to become a Member of Parliament for the Brighton constituency in the upcoming UK general election on July 4. While having an AI candidate may sound like a futuristic premise, the real man behind AI Steve is Steve Endacott, a Sussex entrepreneur.
