The UAE has called on private companies to take safety precautions to protect workers from danger during rainy weather expected to hit the country. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) advised companies to protect the health and safety of workers.

In addition, Dubai schools and government entities will learn and work remotely on Tuesday, April 16 due to expected rain. The news was announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, on social media.

Meanwhile, Dubai will sell off exclusive three-digit vehicle number plates at a private auction in the city. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering 350 unique number plates of three, four and five digits for private and vintage vehicles as well as motorbikes bearing (A-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X) codes.

In other news, Emirates NBD has introduced a new premium credit card service for account holders with balance above $136,000 and offering free golf, beach and spa access to customers. The “Priority Banking Visa Infinite Credit Card” is tailored to meet the exclusive lifestyle needs of its affluent Priority Banking clientele.

In Saudi Arabia, the kingdom has issued rules on Umrah visas for pilgrims visiting the country. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that Umrah visas for people visiting from outside the Kingdom will be valid for three months from the date they were issued.
