Systematic reviews found that ginger may benefit individuals with osteoarthritis, chronic low back pain and those with dysmenorrhea. Ginger may also help control nausea and vomiting following surgery, and that associated with motion sickness and pregnancy. But more research is needed to determine its potential in reducing chemo-induced nausea and vomiting. Data are also lacking to support its use for viral infections … | | | |

| | | Take Note Of Amygdalin | | A naturally occurring cyanogenic glycoside, amygdalin is derived from nuts, plants, and the pits of certain fruits, chiefly apricots. It was used as a cancer treatment in the United States in the 1920s and became popular again in the 1970s but faded away following negative study findings. However, amygdalin re-emerged in early 2000 and despite lack of evidence of efficacy, is promoted as an alternative cancer therapy. Oral use of amygdalin has resulted in cyanide toxicity and deaths. It is not approved for use in the United States but is available in Mexico and some European countries. | | | |
