Accused killer released early: The man accused of gunning down his girlfriend on a service road in New Orleans East earlier this month was serving a life sentence for his role in a 1996 killing until his early release in 2021. Henry Talley Jr. was one of a number of "juvenile lifers" who got another chance thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court and District Attorney Jason Williams.
