| Times Past On this day in 1988, The Canberra Times reported on the heroic act of a local Canberra man in Aranda. Glenn Sage, of Cook, was driving home with his wife when he witnessed an accident between a Toyota utility and a Ford Falcon sedan at the intersection of Belconnen Way and Bindubi Street. As the cars ignited, Sage was able to pull several children and adults from the Ford after smashing a window withhis own fire extinguisher.
