Did you know that it's the first anniversary of China's ivory ban? In order to protect wild elephants and address the poaching crisis, the Chinese government’s ban on domestic commercial processing and trade of ivory came into effect on 1 January 2018. As we approach the Chinese spring festival and Lunar New Year, a peak season for Chinese citizens travelling abroad, WWF and WildAid have joined the Chinese government in calling on outbound travellers not to bring back ivory products.
