Letter from the Editor Feb. 11, 2020 Remember when you could tell your patient to eat 6 small meals a day and they would be happy to oblige? The problem was those 6 “small” meals soon became 6 big meals, and patients were gaining weight and developing diabetes. Now many of our patients have gone to the other extreme and are only eating one time a day or for a few hours as they see the podcasts and commercials for intermittent fasting. But which one is right? According to our intern, George McConnell, LECOM class of 2020, the results are very thorough and complex.
