Affordable housing planned for Anderson workers

A 77-acre plot of land closed by NAI Earle Furman’s Commercial Housing Solutions in Anderson County will be developed into a workforce housing community built to serve nearby industrial and civil employees.

Hemp farming applications being accepted through March

Applications are now being accepted for farmers and processors interested in participating in the S.C. Department of Agriculture hemp program for the 2020 growing season. This is the third year of the state hemp farming program, which began with 20 permitted farmers in 2018 and grew to 114 farmers last year.

New owners report year of growth for The Cliffs

The first 12 months under new ownership was a year of growth for The Cliffs, which includes Cliffs Realty and Walnut Cove Realty. The Cliffs was acquired by South Street Partners about a year ago. South Street Partners is one of the largest developers and operators of residential private club communities in the country and master developer of Kiawah Island.
