Spartanburg-based AFL has acquired Optical and Telecommunication Solutions Inc., a wireless solutions provider focused on in-building and outdoor distributed antenna systems.

Results mixed in 2019 state report cards

Overall education performance was mixed for the 2018-2019 school year as the S.C. Department of Education released its 2019 state report cards. The report cards, released annually, are required by the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.

Auro Hotels reopens property in India

Greenville-based Auro Hotels reopened its second international hotel on Tuesday in Surat, Gujarat, India, and under a new brand as a Marriott. The Surat Marriott Hotel is Auro Hotels’ first luxury hotel in Surat and its second hotel to open in the city, following the recent opening of Courtyard by Marriott Surat.

Foxcroft Wine Co. announces October wine dinners

Foxcroft Wine Co. in Greenville has released information about its October wine dinners. The first, called Walla Walla Wine Dinner with K Vintners, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday and will include a four-course meal. The second dinner, called Pinot Noir Showdown: Oregon vs. California, will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 17.
