Hope y’all had a good night last night! I went to The Charles to see a new movie with Julia Louis-Dreyfus called "You Hurt My Feelings" before going to Fadensonnen with a friend and having a drink called Heaven or Vegas.
I also had a pickle martini, if you love pickles its super worth a try. The garnish is dill — at least, I think it’s dill. Has anyone else been sharpening their plant identification skills by watching the "
Black Forager?" I sure have.
In any case, I saw some cool news yesterday about Gov. Wes Moore
signing an executive order to protect gender-affirming health care in Maryland. It's a super huge step in a series of many that need to be made to protect gender-affirming care.
And like, what’s gender-affirming care, Alanah?
Gender-affirming care is a supportive form of healthcare that consists of an array of services that may include medical, surgical and mental health.
The press release said, “There are more than 94,000 transgender or nonbinary residents in Maryland. The order grants LGBTQIA+ individuals access to safe and medically necessary care.”
And I’m freakin' digging that. Hope you are, too. Happy Pride Month!
