The Raspberry Pi AI Kit is a budget add-on for code dabblers

Ready to build your own AI-powered gadgets?

The $70 Raspberry Pi AI Kit comprises a raft of components — including the all-important Hailo-8L AI chip — along with the necessary mounting hardware to connect the HAT+ auxiliary board to your Raspberry Pi 5 (which you'll need to purchase separately for $80), PCMag reported in its in-depth look at the new offering, adding that putting everything together is “easy and straightforward.”

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are about to get new competition

Solos will release the AirGo Vision modular smart glasses later this year — the price has yet to be revealed

Solos’ just-announced AirGo Vision smart glasses include a front camera in the frames, set in the corner like the popular Ray-Ban models, and brings on-the-go access to AI-powered visual search and other interactive features, Digital Trends reported. But take note — while you can use voice to take photos with the Vision’s camera, the device isn't able to shoot video.

This is also the first pair of smart glasses to harness ChatGPT-4o, though you can change to Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude’s AI models, too.

Intriguingly, you can swap the front panel out for a different design, as the technology lives in the AirGo Vision's arms ...

The high-end AirPods Pro could be the first to get the technology

Apple is planning to release AirPods with infrared (IR) cameras to improve spatial experiences with the Vision Pro headset, according to prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The analyst claimed that Apple is looking to mass-produce up to 10 million AirPods with integrated IR camera modules by 2026 ...

After a stunning first couple of weeks at the box office, Inside Out 2’s third weekend saw the movie become the first movie of 2024 to rake in $1 billion globally, Variety reported.
