| Kenai woman sets fire to partner's home, police say A Kenai woman was arrested after police say she intentionally set fire to a home in Kenai. The Kenai Police Department and Kenai Fire Department responded to a home on Haida Street Tuesday after reports of a house fire. With assistance from the Nikiski Fire Department and Central Emergency Services, the fire was extinguished, but the home received extensive smoke, fire and water damage. Nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire, but a housecat was found dead inside. Police say wooden matches were also found on the ground outside the residence. Nearby security footage showed a female at the home shortly before the fire was reported. A police investigation determined 53-year-old Kimberly Rodgers of Kenai started the fire. | VIDEO: Massive fire demolishes church in Maryland, firefighter injured A firefighter was injured in a massive fire that destroyed a church, causing the roof to collapse, Thursday afternoon in Carroll County. Dozens of firefighters contained the two-alarm blaze at Clearfield Bible Church, in the 1300 block of Old Westminster Pike in Westminster, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. Just piles of charred brick, wood and ashes remain. "Just charred wood, just smoldering away, it's like nothing left," said neighbor Tracey Brooks. "The entire back of the church is completely gone, honestly the only thing left standing is the front wall." Firefighters arrived to find the brick church fully involved with heavy fire and smoke. The fire was elevated to a second alarm because of extreme afternoon temperatures and the need to add the tanker task force to bring water to the scene," fire officials said. KOB-TV NBC 4 ALBUQUERQUE EMS in Michigan to become nation's first provider to use Stryker's 'next gen' defibrillator Two medical teams in Michigan are working together to launch the "nex gen" defibrillator. Life EMS, a West Michigan-owner provider, is anticipated to be the first emergency service organization in the nation to use Stryker's newest medical device, LIFEPAK 35, according to officials. The device is expected to use technology that can reduce how many pauses there are during chest compressions. It also features enhanced options, which include: Pediatric AED mode; Advanced connected capabilities that can send data quicker with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cell data; and a Live view 12/15-lead with STJ Insight that provides a graphical representation of the ECG to help diagnose heart attacks. "This again, helps us when people talk about somebody having a heart attack," Mark Meijer, president of Life EMS Ambulance, said. WWMT-TV CBS 3 KALAMAZOO Found on Facebook, 77-year-old fire truck returns home to New York department VIDEO: You can find a lot on Facebook Marketplace, even a long-lost fire truck. A 1947 Dodge pumper truck belonged to the Chaumont Volunteer Fire Department decades ago but in the 90s, it disappeared after the shop where it was being worked on closed. Fast forward 30 years and a lucky scroll through the social media platform's shop turned up the 77-year-old missing truck. Through donations, the department raised $6,000 and was able to bring the pumper home. "It's part of our history, and so to be able to go and get a part of history back, it's pretty awesome," said Chaumont Fire Chief Will Lipczynski. "The nice thing about these trucks is that it was built when vehicles were made to last. It does have some surface rust, but no major rust on it."
