Aldi sets open date for north Lafayette store, the area's first full-service grocery store in years

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Happy Halloween, Acadiana. Let's get down to business this Monday morning.

The second Aldi store will officially open on Nov. 17, company officials announced late Friday. The company's website indicated the north Lafayette store along Louisiana Avenue near Interstate 10 would open in August, but on Friday Loxley Division Vice President Heather Moore clarified the open date. The store will be the first full-scale supermarket on the Lafayette’s north side to open after about a 20-year run in which others have closed.

You can read the story here.

Have a great weekend and see you back here Tuesday morning.
