Dear Yogi,
As the diffuse days of Autumn gradually replace the bright light of Summer (at least in some places!), nature’s invitation is to slow down and move into a quieter, more contemplative state.
Because of living in insulated houses, surrounded by screens and artificial lighting, aligning our rhythm, lifestyle and yoga practice with the change of seasons can be really beneficial.
In Autumn, it’s helpful to put more emphasis on balancing how much you move and how much you rest. Find those energy-boosting, endorphin-releasing classes that help you feel strong, uplifted and energised, but remember to rest often to nourish both your nervous system and immune system.
