Good evening,

Good evening,

Nothing lights up the market like an impromptu investor roadshow.

Street Talk understands ASX-listed Alpha HPA, a producer of higher value chemicals used in lithium-ion batteries and semiconductors, has drafted in Macquarie Capital to book meet-and-greets with small-cap investors this week.

Alpha’s had an excellent year. Its shares have soared 153 per cent over the past 12 months. Now it’s set to launch a veritable schmooze-fest of local fund managers.

Things aren’t looking as good for Eight Investment Partners. The Brisbane small-cap boutique is considering its options after suffering a large institutional mandate redemption.

Sources told Street Talk the redemption was between $200 million and $250 million, and had resulted in a round of redundancies.

Finally, we’ve unearthed another deal in the red-hot self-storage sector, and George Clinical has rung up a big payday for its investors after Hillhouse Capital cleared the hurdles put up by the FIRB.

Happy reading,
