Donald Trump might be looking past wind farms but Amazon isn't, signing a power purchase agreement with Global Power Generation to buy 100 per cent of the electricity from its wind farm at Hawkesdale, north of Warrnambool, Victoria – a former whaling town.

The project will generate up to 97 megawatts of electricity, enough to power about 67,000 homes each year.
