People who know me may know that my full-time job is a software engineer.
Yes, you heard that right! Engineers and artists seem to be two professions that are completely unrelated, but in the process of learning painting, the rigor required for painting is actually a science. The composition process of each painting is calculated again and again. Observing the colors of nature is another science of light and shadow, not to mention the part of color science. I paint with the attitude of doing research!
When I was studying, although I had never entered an art school to receive formal art education, the desire to paint has never disappeared in my heart. After I started working and had a stable income job enough to support myself, in February 2016, I started my oil painting learning journey with the greatest artist in Taiwan, Mr. Ye Yancheng! Before that, I also taught myself watercolor and sketching. After I first started with oil painting, I fell in love with the texture, color saturation, and changeable characteristics of oil painting! My study started with the most basic drafting and color blending of the paint. The subject of the painting also ranged from still life painting to landscape painting and even the highest-level - portrait.
