| Millennium Thrills in September 2017 Barbara Hoffert - @barbarahoffert | December 12, 2016 | | I know, I know, you’ve been in Millennium withdrawal since reading The Girl in the Spider’s Web, David Lagercrantz’s continuation of Stieg Larsson’s blockbuster series starring Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist, which was released in September 2015. Now Knopf has announced the next in the series, to be published in September 2017. (I like it that Lagercrantz spent some time crafting this new work.) No title or plot details yet, but don’t worry; I’ll keep you posted.

| Really Big Thrillers | Fiction Previews With every Prepub Alert, the big print-run titles often seem to be thrillers. These titles aren’t all the thrillers publishing in June 2017, but from Robert Crais’s The Wanted to Mary Kubica’s Every Last Lie, they caught my eye with their mega printings (when posted), strong author reputation, and promotional backing. | | From Revolutionary America to Saddam Hussein | History Previews Big history titles this month go as far back as Benjamin Franklin’s relationship with his loyalist son and as far forward as the relationship of 12 U.S. soldiers with the prisoner they’re guarding, Saddam Hussein. In between you’ll find World War II, young American radicals, and more. |
