Anne Breaud's story: Anne Breaud is a fixture of the French Quarter. She's known to invite gaping tourists over to her Jackson Square apartment and host fundraisers. She feeds the birds and scolds the public urinators — or she did, before her photos of Mayor LaToya Cantrell dining with her bodyguard surfaced on local news, spurring a very public legal battle. Missy Wilkinson sat down with Breaud to discuss her love for New Orleans and recent win in court.
Banking on Banksy: In March, promoters announced that a big “immersive and digital” exhibit devoted to British street art superstar Banksy was coming to New Orleans in June. Now, just before the scheduled June 28 opening, ticketholders still don’t know where the show’s supposed to take place. Or if it's going to take place at all. Doug MacCash has the details.
Remembering Jackie Clarkson: Jacquelyn "Jackie" Brechtel Clarkson, who served three stints as a member of the New Orleans City Council and represented Algiers in the Legislature over a quarter-century in politics, has died at 88. Ben Myers has this look at Clarkson's legacy.
