He's a man who needs no introduction, but if he did, "I'd probably just tell them my name," J'Something – real name Joao da Fonseca – says, laughing.

On a more serious note, the muso adds: "I'm actually currently working on my identity, and it's something that's constantly evolving."

With the fourth season of My Kitchen Rules South Africa having just premiered on M-Net (DStv 101) and his three-city tour Indoor kicking off on 15 September, we caught up with J'Something to chat about his busy schedule, those Mi Casa rumours, making music, and finding his identity.

His smile is infectious, and his personality is laid-back. So, you will be forgiven for finding it hard to believe J'Something wears so many hats. But he does, and he does so effortlessly.

As for how he does it, the musician confesses that he wishes "it was as strategic as maybe people assume it to be," but essentially, he just loves what he does.
