NEWSLETTER OOSTERSCHELDE 13 December 2017 |
| ON OUR WAY TO CAPE VERDE This morning we welcomed our trainees on, what looks like a brandnew, ‘Oosterschelde’. Around 11AM, the ship left her homeport Rotterdam. She is on her way to the exotic Cape Verde. The voyage starts with bleak winter weather, but around New Years we expect photos of our crew in shorts and T-shirts. |
| MAINTENANCE The past few months the crew has worked on a major refit of the ‘Oosterschelde’. The mast were taken down and repaired where necessary. The ship has been sand-blasted and repainted again. The standing rigging has been renewed. It was hard work, but the result is definitely there. We didn’t know it was possible, but she looks even more beautiful than ever before! |
