Register for the Midwest Climate Summit

deepen expertise and develop a Midwestern response to the climate crisis."

EVENT DETAILS

KICK-OFF: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2020 The Midwest Climate Summit is the result of extensive collaboration between Washington University and a group of more than twenty leading Midwestern higher education institutions, non-profits, and local governments. The Summit is possible due to generous support from Bloomberg Philanthropies.
The Midwest Climate Summit will take place in two parts—Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. The first part of the Midwest Climate Summit will be a virtual Fall 2020 series of events – the Think Tank – that will build partnerships, expand engagement, and focus efforts for accelerating climate action in the Midwest. The Think Tank series will set the stage for the Spring 2021 Summit where Midwest institutions, local governments, businesses, and organizations will reconvene to announce new and/or expanded climate change efforts in the Midwest.
The Think Tank consists of five 2-hour sessions that kick-off on Friday, October 2, at 10am central time. Following sessions will take place on Fridays, October 9, October 23, November 6, and November 20, starting 10am central time.
In addition, a Student Systems Conference will be held on November 6 from 1-3:30pm central time. This student-led and student-prioritized session aims to foster meaningful and action-oriented conversations about sustainability efforts and challenges on our respective campuses and in our respective communities.
All sessions are free and open to the public.
