'They took my baby.' Another child has been killed in a shooting. One of the victims in a fatal double shooting in New Orleans Tuesday night was 13 years old. Byron Thomas was a 7th grader at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School. Sadly, we’ve been down this road too many times.

A judge this week ruled that 5,000 current and former residents are entitled to more than $75 million for property damage and emotional distress.
