DRIVERS ARE FEUDING OVER HIGH PARK’S CHERRY BLOSSOMS AGAIN

High Park in the spring is a beautiful place. The sakura trees are in full bloom, couples in love snap photos of each other beneath the branches, children frolic like windswept blossoms and drivers trying to find elusive parking spots rage. After the trees reached peak bloom earlier this month, locals complained about a deluge of cars. Tree tourists began fighting over parking spots on nearby side streets, creating an environment some residents described as “aggressive” and “unsafe.” The city thinks it might have the answer: could a fancy new shuttle do the trick?
