View web version. ] | Apogee Rocketry Workshop #258: | | The Flying Machine is a new rocket from Apogee Components (Now Shipping!) that has a retro-looking steampunk theme and features two strap-on booster pods that fall away from the core during launch. This video shows how to glue the fins onto the side of the Flying Machine model rocket kit from Apogee Components. This is the technique that is used when you have a butt-joint fin that has a flat edge along the root side of the fin. We're using super-glue here, but you can also use wood glue if you sand the edge to show the raw wood under the paint.
