[ Not displaying correctly? View web version. ] | Apogee Rocketry Workshop #398 | This week we'll be releasing a massive collection of videos - it is the first chunk of assembly videos for the Draco BG rocket kit. There are currently 17 videos, but we're not going to drag them out like we did the TTV. We're going to just do them in two parts. Today will be the first part: videos one through nine. It is a lot of footage, and just may take you two weeks to watch them all. But I think you'll enjoy them. Add to that three BT-55 side-mounted pods, each with a 18mm motor mount, and this rocket truly is a Heavy Lift Vehicle (HLV). It has a nice sized payload bay at the top can hold your favorite payloads. | Pod Separation Explosion! Last week we released the Hermes HLV rocket kit. This week's simulation shows the Hermes on a cluster of 4 motors. It is a D12-7 in the core stage, and B6-0 motors in the three strap-on boosters. I set it up so the pods are staggared as they drop off, so you can count them as they fall off. It is so cool to watch. Check out the simulation here. |
Customer Testimonials: "Been a customer of Apogee for a bunch of years (14+) and have always been impressed with the products and service. It is nice to talk to a "Real Person" and have on occasion been able to talk to the "Boss." My orders have always been filled and shipped quickly. Most of the items I have needed are in stock and are not available at other companies. I'm now actively seeking writers for articles to appear in this newsletter. And I want unique and cutting-edge articles because that is what you want to read, right? I realize this, so to get articles from outside writers that have the same level of quality, I'm going to have to pay a lot of cash to make it worth it for them. So I've come up with a compensation package where I'll pay up to $350 for good how-to articles. Are you a writer, and does that interest you? That is a lot of cash! Far more than you'll get by writing for other magazines. And with over 23,000 worldwide subscribers, if you write for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter, you'll gain a lot of notoriety. Writing for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter is a great way to show off your rocketry projects and your technical expertise, at the same time as helping out other rocketeers. Imagine how great you'll feel knowing that you made a difference to the hobby. If you're interested in writing, see the guidelines on our site. | |
