Good afternoon,

Apple has launched a new sleep apnoea detection feature in Australia, winning praise  from doctors and sleep disorder specialists, as it deepens its push into the $US70.3bn ($107.7bn) health tracking market. The feature was developed using advanced machine learning and an “extensive dataset of clinical-grade sleep apnoea tests”.

A Sydney start-up is aiming to transform the property market, creating tailored artificial intelligence-powered bots to answer phone calls to ensure no deal collapses in one of Australia’s most cutthroat industries.

Telstra has rejected accusations from the Communications Workers Union that the rise of AI has sparked plans to axe 550 jobs from the telco and Australians should prepare themselves to “talk to more machines than actual people”.
