Other services offered by the tech giant have also seen increases

Apple raised the price of Apple TV+ on Wednesday, increasing it from $7 per month to $10. It also pushed the annual subscription rate to $99, marking a hefty $30 increase.

 

But there are still several ways to try Apple TV+ without spending a dime. You can sign up for seven days of free viewing while purchasing one of a number of Apple devices gets you three months for free. Various Apple One bundles also offer a month's free access to a variety of services, including Apple TV+.

 

Apple TV+ wasn’t the only Apple subscription to see a price rise this week as the cost of Apple Arcade has gone from $5 per month to $7, while Apple News+ now costs $13 a month, up from $10.

DJI unveils Osmo Pocket 3 with exciting upgrades

It's the first update for the device in three years

DJI has just unveiled an impressive upgrade of its compact camera, the Osmo Pocket.

 

The Osmo Pocket 3 comes with a slew of significant changes, including the addition of a larger 1-inch sensor for better video quality, and a larger 2-inch touchscreen display that cleverly flips sideways for horizontal framing or stays upright for TikTok-style vertical video.

 

The latest version of the Osmo Pocket retains its compact size while also bringing faster focusing, better night shots, slow-motion video at 4K/120 frames per second and 1080p/240 frames per second, and support for DJI’s wireless microphone.

Pixel 8 Pro users are finding weird ways to use it

A new feature on the phone is getting plenty of attention

The temperature sensor on Google’s new Pixel 8 Pro has been much mocked, but some folks with the new phone are finding clever ways to use it.

 

The Pixel 8 Pro’s temperature sensor is found on the back and can measure the temperature of objects simply by “scanning” them from close range. Google says the sensor is good for “beverages, cooking pan, water temperature, and more.”

 

While many have belittled the unexpected feature, others have been sharing the interesting ways in which they’ve been deploying it.

 

A Pixel 8 Pro owner on Reddit, for example, said that after a storm knocked out their house’s power supply for 36 hours, they used the temperature sensor to gauge the safety of food in the refrigerator, which had lost its ability to chill.

 

Another interesting use included someone measuring the temperature of the sidewalk to check it wasn’t too hot for their dog to walk on ...
