Get Help with Your Nursing School Debt! The Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program is open now through March 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. ET. You can decrease your nursing education debt by up to 60% with two years of service. If you serve a third year, you could decrease your debt by up to 85%.
New this year: Nurse Corps will prioritize awards for nurses, including nurse practitioners, working in primary care facilities, such as federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, and small rural hospitals. Nurse Corps will also continue to prioritize psychiatric nurse practitioners as well as nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and certified nurse midwives working in women's health or obstetrics and gynecological specializations. Are You Eligible? Review these requirements to find out. 1. You are a: Licensed registered nurse; Advanced practice registered nurse, such as a nurse practitioner; or Nurse faculty member with qualifying nursing debt. 2. You received your nursing education from an accredited school of nursing located in a U.S. state or territory. 3. You work full-time in: An eligible critical shortage facility in a high need area (RNs, APRNs); or An accredited school of nursing.
