Archdiocese seeks to sell buildings: The Archdiocese of New Orleans needs cash to settle claims of child sex abuse, so it's looking to sell off seven properties that would raise roughly $10.4 million to do so. Not so fast: Entergy New Orleans had originally sought a rate hike that would increase customer bills by more than $7 a month, but that is not looking like it will come to pass. The utility has a plan to lower the rate hike enough to where it could be offset by credits. But there are still some hurdles, and Entergy gas customers would still see an increase. Sam Karlin has the story. A 'nothingburger' in St. Tammany: Seeking to bring some calm to a contentious issue, the St. Tammany Council on Thursday pitched its idea on how to handle complaints about the content of some of the books in the parish library system.
