Archiware Releases P5 Version 6.0

We are excited to announce that today, we have released Version 6.0 of the P5 Software Suite. The new version is a comprehensive technological revision of P5.

New features in P5 version 6.0 include:

• P5 Companion App: data archive directly from the workstation
• MMS License: double Disk and Cloud storage limit
• Modernized UI design
• HTTPS for a secure browser GUI
• New API based on REST
• P5 Desktop LTO Edition: introduction as part of regular bundle
• Group administration: access grants to specific P5 client paths for archive and restore
• Greater flexibility in configuration of Disk and Cloud storage
• Support for Google Cloud Storage
• Direct support of Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage
• Support of new cloud object storage classes from different object storage service providers
• New platform: Archiware P5 for Amazon Web Services (AMI)
• Re-introduction of P5 server on FreeBSD
