| Adweek Podcast: Revisiting 2020's Best Ads, Stunts and Bold Marketing Ideas | | | | It's a big day at Adweek, where we unveiled our picks for the 25 Best Ads of 2020. It's a disorientingly eclectic list, given that it feels like we lived through multiple distinct years in the span of 12 months, but I think you'll find it's a fascinating cross-section of how marketing adapted to a state of constant change. To give you an inside look (or at least listen), we gathered together several of Adweek's writers and editors to discuss the year's best work—be it traditional ads, creative stunts, savvy social responses or just about anything else ad-like. Give a listen to this week's episode of Yeah, That's Probably an Ad, to learn why we picked what we did—and which other campaigns are worth a nod outside of the list as well. This year we also opened it up to our fans via a bracketed Readers' Choice competition, and whew, fans really turned out for their favorites. In the final round, Wisconsin Democrats' Virtual Princess Bride Reunion put up a fight worthy of the Dread Pirate Roberts, but it was no match for the social might of Oreo. To learn more about the Readers' Choice winner, check out my colleague Ian Zelaya's article on the story behind the Oreo Global Vault, a doomsday bunker created in response to one fan's tweet. And of course I'd love to hear your picks for the year's best work. Drop me a note at the email below or at @Griner on Twitter.
