We're in a climate emergency From large-scale forest fires to extreme weather events, rising global temperatures to record-breaking ice sheet loss, this past year has underscored both the scale of the challenge we face and the inadequacy of the collective response so far in dealing with the climate crisis. We are far from a trajectory that would hold warming to below 1.5°C – the point at which, scientists say, the impacts of climate change become devastating. Rather, we are on course for an average temperature increase of more than 3˚C – an undoubtedly catastrophic prospect for people and nature. From 2nd-13th December, a vitally important conference for the future of people and planet will be taking place. World leaders will be gathering for the COP25 climate summit in Madrid to take critical decisions for our shared home. We'll be bringing you the latest updates as we work hard to get leaders to raise their climate ambition. Here's how YOU can get involved!
