Process art is one of the coolest discoveries I've made as a parent.

If you haven't dug too deep into this world, I want you to experience some of the many joys it's brought to my home.

When my girls were little I got into a routine of setting up open-ended process art activities after they went to bed.

This took me 5-minutes tops, so it never felt like a chore.

When they woke up in the morning they'd seek out the invitation with excitement, ever-curious to discover what was in store for them.

They painted, drew, and played, 100% following their own curiosities.

The best parts for me?

They could engage with the art activity unaided by me, so I could sort out a morning routine of getting breakfast together and drinking coffee ;)
I learned so much about their personalities by observing how they interacted with the materials, asked questions, or launched into new ideas.
We bonded! There were no power struggles because it was led entirely by them.
