| Face to Face and Its Impact on Medical Review & Billing in Home Health

This session will take agencies on the journey of the Face-to-Face Encounter requirement and the clarifications on who can perform a valid Face-to-Face Encounter, keeping in mind the new payment ruling for 2022. We will discuss the intricate details of the requirements surrounding the documentation necessary to validate the encounter and its direct impact on Medicare Review, including pre-claim review under the Review Choice Demonstration. All levels of Medicare Medical Review have now been reinstated and agencies must be diligent with documentation requirements. When billing a Start of Care Final Claim, agencies must know that ALL Face-to-Face requirements have been met PRIOR to billing.
