| This is an annual fundraiser where the gallery invites 50 artists to each create a grid of 50 artworks. Each artwork is 6″ square. My Interface series suits the format nicely. And I found a way to make a face appear out of the overall grid using color. This was a bit different than my recent show in Kyoto where I made faces with layouts that didn't follow a strict grid. Last year at 50|50 I showed my 6 Feet Apart series. The exhibition fills all three galleries at Sanchez Art Center and has a big local audience. It’s a very festive event and part of the fun is seeing the art disappear off the wall as it is purchased. Juror: Andra Norris, Andra Norris Gallery.
