Good morning, Whether you spent the weekend quietly reflecting on recent events and preparing for yesterday's state funeral, or made the most of the extra time off with family and friends, the news in Lancashire never rests. Along with the usual news events the weekend also saw communities come together at the Lancashire Encounter and the Longridge Soap Box Derby events, which brought some much need colour to the region during what has been a sombre period. The city also paid tribute to Her Majesty on Saturday during a Memorial Service held at Preston Minster. On Saturday night the Lancashire Encounter Torchlight Procession also paid tribute to the Queen. Here is a round-up of all the weekend's news. Thanks for reading, Colin colin.ainscough@nationalworld.com | |
