Practical AI
Technologists are increasingly thinking about how artificial intelligence might help them, so Oracle is emphasizing features it calls “practical AI.” This is when AI is embedded into cloud-based apps to speed business tasks, such as in recruiting, sales, and finance.

Features powered by AI could include resume-sifting algorithms, automated recommended actions for sales staff, and the ability to negotiate payment discounts with suppliers based on their financial health. The AI-enabled applications Oracle will roll out this summer provide “aid in the moment when you need it,” says Jack Berkowitz, Oracle vice president for products and data science. Hear more examples of practical AI in this article.
