A new destination for world-class contemporary art

Be among the first to visit a brand-new world-class contemporary art destination, launching its first season this week — and offering an enchanting fusion of art and nature.

Goodwood Art Foundation opens this Saturday (31 May), set in a 70-acre, seasonally-changing natural landscape in the Sussex countryside, offering space to reflect on the artworks it showcases. Designed by Dan Pearson, the landscape is constructed around the concept of ‘24 seasonal moments’, offering colour and sensory experiences throughout the year.

As for the art? The opening programme features works by leading artists such as Rachel Whiteread, Hélio Oiticica, Veronica Ryan, Isamu Noguchi, Susan Philipsz, Amie Siegel, Rose Wylie and Lubna Chowdhary — all curated by Ann Gallagher to provoke and inspire. Plenty more programmes and events are planned: keep an eye on the Foundation’s website for reasons to return.

Also on site is the café, 24, which uses seasonal ingredients foraged from the surrounding landscape and produced locally at Goodwood’s Home Farm. Tap the blue button below to plan an inspiring day out of the capital, and experience Goodwood Art Foundation in its thrilling opening days.
