Teenagers aren’t lazy; They’re tired. A grumpy teen is likely not getting the recommended 8-10 hours of sleep each night and that can affect their brain development and safety. On today’s show I spoke with two researchers about what sleep means to a developing brain and how school districts and parents juggle that with the need for early start times. Three people shot, woman struck by car as Minnesota State Fair closes
In a chaotic closing to the fair, three people were struck by gunfire and a 19-year-old woman was hit by a passing car. No arrests have been made in the shooting. The woman remains in critical but stable condition.

No one likely escaped the flames that tore through a boat packed with scuba divers, with all 34 people sleeping below deck presumed dead during a Labor Day weekend expedition off the Southern California coast, authorities said Tuesday as they called off the search for survivors.
