| | Texas ministry brings clear water to Kenya | The Bucket Ministry, a Texas-based Christian nonprofit, is bringing clean, safe drinking water to residents living along the outskirts of Athi River, a city approximately 20 miles from Nairobi, Kenya. The ministry plans to distribute water filters to a quarter of the area's population, specifically targeting the city's four slums—Bondeni-Jua Kali, Kanani, Slaughter and Sophia—as part of an initiative to focus on combatting waterborne diseases.
