The panel of experts will discuss and answer questions about the changes made by SECURE 2.0 Act regarding individual retirement accounts, including changing when the first required minimum distribution can be made from the account, new rules for inherited IRAs by surviving spouses, the 10-year rule and who qualifies for the waiver of the RMD excise tax, expanded charitable giving options and conversions of 529 plans to Roth IRAs. They’ll also discuss proposed regulations under SECURE Act 1.0 including rules for disabled and chronically ill beneficiaries of IRAs and the determination of who is considered a beneficiary. |
