NARVESON | Staff writer More questions: The state-contracted company accused of giving a Louisiana official $780,000 to buy a house lacked adequate oversight by the Office of Conservation, a new report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor has found. The Office had tasked the Louisiana Oilfield Restoration Association, or LORA, with plugging "orphan" oil and gas wells in exchange for collecting fees from oil and gas well operators.
