| Hello, Are you wondering how you can contribute to Trustworthy AI? MozFest is in the process of selecting the next round of Trustworthy AI Working Groups. This year we are convening two different working groups: one for builders and a new one for civil society actors. The Trustworthy AI Working Group for AI builders is an engaged community of over 250 global members who aim to help our technical community build more Trustworthy AI. This group will continue some of the projects from the last round, as well as invite in new members and projects for 2021-2022. The Civil Society Actors for Trustworthy AI Working Group is for people working in their local and global communities through art, journalism, policy-making, research, scholarship, activism and technical literacy efforts, who care about the impact of artificial intelligence and want to contribute to trustworthy solutions. This is the first round, and we will be selecting new members and projects for this group.
Later this August, we will open a call for interest to join one of the selected projects. Keep an eye on the MozFest Twitter and our community Slack channel to learn about how you can get involved! Have a great August! Sarah
Dialogues & Debates: Digital Censorship "Let's not forget that companies also have human rights responsibilities and they must ensure that their platforms and their products don't contribute to human rights violations. They need to carry out human rights due diligence to ensure that they are not contributing to human rights abuses." â Rasha Abdul Rahim, Director, Amnesty Tech Mozilla facilitated a conversation between data rights experts and researchers to unpack the harms of digital censorship and the lack of algorithmic transparency â and their impact on real world issues.
