Automate spreadsheet updates with Python

Manually updating a spreadsheet can be an awfully tedious and potentially error-prone task, especially if you have a lot of data to work with.

In Lesson 12 of the course Introduction to Python, Jarrett Retz shows you how to automate data updates to a spreadsheet with Python. You'll use an example budget spreadsheet from Google Sheets, containing a transactions sheet that details transactions (split into income and expenses) and a summary sheet that provides an overview. You'll take an example CSV file containing data from over 100 transactions and use Python to programmatically sort those transactions into income and expenses, and then automaticaly add them to the transactions sheet in the Excel spreadsheet. This turns a tedious task into something that can be completed in seconds.
