| COVID Lockdown Lifted with Restrictions | From today, the Victorian Government will permit businesses to reopen for trade under the following conditions: Face masks must be carried at all times, and must be worn indoors and outdoors except if an exemption applies.Retail: Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. Check-in required. Venues smaller than 100sqm can have up to 25 people per venue before density quotient applies.Hairdressing, Beauty and Personal care: Can remove mask for services. Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. QR code check-ins are required. Venues can have up to 25 patrons before the density quotient applies. Food and drink facilities: Open for seated service only with a maximum patron cap of 100 per venue. Group limit of 10. Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. A venue smaller than 100sqm can have up to 25 people per venue before the density quotient applies. COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in. Food courts: Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. QR codes must be displayed at every table. COVIDSafe Marshals in each food court.Gyms can operate with a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm, with a COVID Check-in Marshall to ensure attendee check-in. Group limit of 10 people. Up to 25% of staff can return to office workplaces, subject to density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.The restrictions that apply to your business can be viewed here.

| Deployment of COVID Business Support Officers | To help you stay COVID safe, and avoid fines Council is about to deploy a team of COVID Business Support Officers to engage with businesses and provide information and support within Brimbankâs shopping strips and commercial precincts. The new officers are keen to show you how to operate your business in a COVID Safe way and avoid a potential State Government fine of $1,652. While on-site, they can also explain some free business support available to help you through difficult trading conditions.
Council received a grant from the State Governmentâs Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, which has enabled the engagement of the Covid Business Support officers.
