Labor Dept. ends program that eased FLSA resolutions The Labor Department last Friday ended the Payroll Audit Independent Determination program, which began in 2018 and allowed employers to resolve Fair Labor Standards Act wage violations without the fear of civil action. The program "deprived workers of their rights and put employers that play by the rules at a disadvantage," said Jessica Looman, principal deputy administrator for the department's Wage and Hour Division.
