Baird sells end-of-life aircraft services biz after US push; Main Capital grows enterprise software company

Morning Hubsters, PE Hub Europe editor Craig McGlashan here with the Europe edition of the Wire from the London newsroom.

The summer season is over – if the gloomy view from my window is anything to go by – but that means that deal activity is picking up.

We’ve got an eclectic bunch for you this morning.

First up, we look at Baird Capital’s sale of Welsh end-of-life aircraft services provider Ecube Solutions to Platinum Equity-backed Unical Aviation, based in the US.

Then we turn to a sector that has proved resilient through the downturn of the last couple of years – enterprise architecture software and digital transformation. Main Capital Partners has agreed to an add-on for its portfolio company Bizzdesign.

The third deal of the day – and indeed third sector we’re looking at – is in healthcare, where Eurazeo has acquired a minority stake in a Naxicap Partners-backed ophthalmic microsurgery instruments and equipment provider.

Transatlantic

What better way to showcase the newly combined PE Hub North American and European coverage than with a deal that touches both sides of the Atlantic?

This morning we can report that Baird Capital has sold its investment in Ecube Solutions, an end-of-life aircraft services provider, to Platinum Equity-backed Unical Aviation.

Find out more details, including our coverage of Ecube's initial US push, in the premium version of the Wire.

Enterprising

Main Capital Partners portfolio company Bizzdesign has agreed to acquire Mega International, a French enterprise architecture software provider, from GIMV, its founder and management.

Details including combined revenue projections are available in the premium version of the Wire.

Global push

Eurazeo has acquired a minority stake in Naxicap Partners-backed Moria, an ophthalmic microsurgery instruments and equipment provider.

Find out the size of the stake in the premium version of the Wire.

Right, that’s a wrap from me. Michael Schoeck will write to you later today in the New York morning with the US edition, and Irien Joseph will be on European Wire duty on Friday morning in London.

Hope you’re enjoying the expanded coverage so far – for any thoughts/comments/story suggestions or anything else, send them over to me at craig.m@pei.group

Cheers,

Craig
